That clicking noise cell phones make near speakers!

Published by at 3:01 am under Jerks,Why?!?

old cell phone

I know you have all heard that annoying clicking noise your cell phone makes when it’s near speakers and about to do something. Maybe a call is about to come in or you’re getting a text but either way it makes your speakers go crazy. It’s an annoying sound but the thing that really bugs me is that now I’m trained to reach for the phone when the clicking starts. It’s like a pre-ringtone. Nothing is more pathetic than reaching for your clicking phone thinking you are getting a call only to be disappointed with no ring. Sometimes the jerk just clicks for no reason!

This is the dumbest post ever. Any of you who were planning on telling me I suck don’t need to, I have taken care of it for you. How the fuck am I supposed to make this subject interesting? Maybe I should have included some nudity. You know why I suck lately? It’s because I have not had any beer in the house for weeks. I’m always better after a beer or 5.

Whatever, start your own blog!

Here’s how to fix a noisy cell phone by the way…

I have never, ever heard of this.

Is the phone clicking or are the speakers clicking?

I know, I was just about to write the same thing as Habit. I feel really tech challenged after reading your post. Then again, I still can’t figure out how to use my call waiting.

It’s the speakers that make the sound. I had a feeling this post sucked and only a few people would know what I’m talking about. You hear it in your car or if your phone is on your desk and you have external computer speakers.

    Boring, I know.

this happens to me all the time, and i inevitably —*it just happened while i was effing typing this* NO JOKE. at least the phone ended up ringing, instead of just clicking and there’s me, reaching it for it like a douche with no life.

I don’t think Rachel & List man are douches with no life. I mean, you guys have this issue because you have people calling you. I never have anyone call me, therefore never experiencing this cellphone/speaker business. I’m the one who feels like a douche with no life.

I know exactly what you mean and if you lived in a civilized country that used GSM since the 1980s then everyone you know would know about it. Welcome to the late 1900s.

What is wrong with you people? What’s the point of all this self-destructive talk? “I suck.”, “I’m a douche with no life.”
It’s taking the wind out of your sail, by which I mean it makes you suck more than you do already. You don’t have to explain to us why you suck goddamit. And don’t forget to always be yourself.

Arthas~ thanks for the pep-talk. but i will be the first one (right after List-Man) to admit that i am AWESOME. self deprecating remarks are a common tool used by the gifted writer.

i hate electromagnetic interference so much. when i was studying sound engineering there was always some dumb clunge that wouldn’t turn their cell off before coming into the studio and we ended up with dozens of ruined tracks. half my class failed the program.

i’ve never heard of it either. my iPhone doesn’t get it but that sounds annoying.poor u listman.

rachel~ you’re right, I remember Shakespeare and Goethe saying “Oh thy, that poem sucked indeed, but that’s because I suck at the moment so shut up.” Oh, wait. No, I don’t. It’s just a stupid device that people use to prevent bitching form possible readers, which is poor.

To those who never heard of annoying speaker sounds caused by electromagnetic waves:
Of course you didn’t know about such thing, since you’re a spoiled brat with your head up your ass. You should have heard of it in physic class at the very least, asshole.

    Arthas is confusing me.

I hate this sound with the passion of a thousand burning herpes sores. I hate it even more because I don’t have a cell phone myself, I only use one when I’m on call for work. And when I’m at my computer playing a game or doing something that has nothing to do with work on a weekend, hearing that sound tells my brain “Oh boy, more work on your fucking day off! What kind of bullshit problem will it be THIS time?!”

Why does Arthas build me up just ot tear me down?

I’ve never heard this because I don’t have my cell phone on my desk at work. At home I have a laptop. Top it all off with the fact that I am loathe to acknowledge my cell phone even needs charging and that explains it all.

its another crazy dumb thing you get for being an at&t costumer. when it happens like in the car or something all your friends look at you like “what the hell are you doing man??”

people who have never heard of this – consider yourself lucky. its the most annoying noise in the world. ever.
