Bravo’s Shear Genius – Hey let’s watch people get haircuts!

Published by at 4:00 am under Jerks

What’s more fun than getting your hair cut? Watching other people getting their hair cut by a bunch of ridiculous idiots with ironic hair! Is it possible there is a single person watching this show? No, right? PLEASE SAY NO!

And this is THE SECOND SEASON! Maybe TV has changed so much in the last few years that a show only needs 4 or 5 people watching each week to stay on the air. Are we being secretly hypnotized by the government while watching this crap? Is that how George Bush got elected, TWICE?

You know, there must be a correlation between the fact that George Bush served two terms and that a show like this has found viewers brain dead enough to watch it. I guess we are just that dumb. Fat, bored and dumb. Put it on TV and we will watch. Soon they will just broadcast a shiny object for all of the drooling masses to stare at.

I hate everyone who isn’t me.

If it makes you feel better, I have never heard of this show. And, based on these photos I am thankful for that.

I would never let one of those assholes cut my hair, just look at them.

It makes me feel better for you but worse for me. Why do so many hairdressers and clothing designers think they need to look ridiculous to stand out from the crowd? I am SO VERY FUCKING sick of ironic 80’s bullshit.

I’ve tried watching Shear Genius while Project Runway was off season. I barely got through five minutes.

It’s funny that you mentioned hairdressers and their need to look ridiculous… my hairdresser of over eight years suddenly has changed his look. He used to be this low key t-shirt, jeans and shaved head kind of guy. In the last few years, he has grown an afro and has been so blinged out that I wasn’t sure how it was humanly possible for him to hold his neck up. On top of that, he’s super tiny (my height, 5’2″) and wears the baggiest clothes to make him look like a rapping midget.

I love the man and he does the best hair, but I must agree, the “look” needs to go.

You would think people who stand in front of mirrors all day would know better.

I’m going to have to call bullshit on “you a douche” for the first time. I actually have only seen the commercials.

I agree that it would be weird though for a person to obsess over something they hate. Like imagine if a person hated a website or a blog and then they spent all day reading every word of it and commenting on it? That would be weird.

Project Runway it ain’t. Bad idea and lots of bad fashion.
